A Heartfelt Micro Wedding at a Victorian Estate Near Knoxville

Some wedding days stay with you not because of scale, but because of heart. Jillian and Ford’s October micro wedding was one of those days. Deeply personal, thoughtfully layered, and full of character in a way that felt entirely their own.

Set at a beautiful Victorian mansion Airbnb near Knoxville, their celebration gathered just under 30 of their closest people. The setting alone felt like stepping into another time- ornate details, soft light, and a sense of history that made the day feel grounded and intimate from the start. What made the day truly special was the intention woven into every detail. Jillian and Ford poured themselves into the process, choosing to DIY much of the design so the celebration reflected who they are rather than following a template. From handmade elements to vintage accents, every piece felt collected with care. One of the most meaningful details came from Jillian’s father, an artist, who hand-painted their welcome sign and a paper moon that became a quiet focal point of the day. It was a reminder that when family is invited into the creative process, the result carries a depth that can’t be replicated.

The day unfolded with a playful sense of retro charm. We got to play with a vintage pink Thunderbird during couples portraits, and Jillian’s reception look- a vintage dress and veil- tied the nostalgic feel of the day together. These elements really made weaving film photography throughtout the day feel effortless. Nothing felt styled for the sake of aesthetics alone; everything felt lived in, chosen, and true. Despite its intimacy, the celebration was full of energy. Guests lingered, laughed, and moved through the day without rush… the kind of atmosphere that only happens when a wedding is shaped around connection rather than expectation.

Jillian and Ford’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that micro weddings offer space for personality to shine. When a day is built with intention, heart, and a willingness to do things your own way, the result feels timeless. Not because it follows tradition, but because it reflects something real.

A few words from Jillian & Ford after the day:

Tori is fantastic. She is calm, hardworking, and attentive to every little detail. She truly went above and beyond with our engagement and wedding photos. We will cherish these forever. Thank you so much!
